Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi

WESM is the custodian of a lot of very useful and important data on both flora and fauna species. Mostly, this data was in journals which could not be accessed by the right audience. Despite that the data would contribute significantly to decision making and policy, it remained barren in the library. However, the data holding approach is now changing. It is focusing at making this data easily accessible through GBIF platform. The data is being digitized and published. The data available is occurrence and checklists of birds, mammals, plants, among others.
