Bindura University Of Science Education

Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) seeks to be a hub of knowledge and a beacon of excellence in teaching, research and extension services. The University exists to contribute to the development of Zimbabwe through the advancement of knowledge and skills in science education. It seeks to produce innovative, highly acclaimed graduates equipped with research, entrepreneurial and technical skills for the benefit of the nation and the international community. The department of Natural resources at BUSE specialises in research, teaching and extension covering wildlife, forests, soil and water resources and is collecting data on medicinal plants and other non-timber forest products (NTFPs) and then clean, digitize and publish the data through the global biodiversity information facility (GBIF). The publication makes the data easily accessible to help in research and strategic decisions on biodiversity conservation aiming at achieving sustainable development goals 15 and national conseravtion goals.
