Museu de Ciências e Tecnologia - PUCRS

Founded on principles established by PUCRS, the missiono f the Museu de Ciências e Tecnologia is to generate, preserve, and spread knowledge througth ist scientific collections and exhibits, contributting to the education of Society. With respect to the research, the museu is closely do PUCRS´ Graduate Program in Biodiversity and Evolution and History. The study of Neotropical biodiversity is one the main scientific resaerch topics at MCT-PUCRS. Located in a 1,213 m2 area, collections are kept in rooms adapated to their specific characteristics. The 16 biological collections comprise catalogued species that primarily represent the biodiversity of the Southern region of Brazil.
